July 11-20, 2006
eMi Project 8112

Original Project Scope
ServLife India is empowering ministry and bringing lasting hope to the poor in Raxaul, right on the Nepal border, in Bihar, the poorest state in India. The ministry began with a small fellowship (the first in the city), and grew in the subsequent years with a children’s ministry, an orphanage, Leadership Training Institute and finally a primary school that will continue to add classes up to 12 standard. Over the past ten years ServLife India has experienced God’s blessing and expanded its boundaries, thus enabling new ministry and training for a growing body of believers in Raxaul, and even Nepal. As a result, ServLife India is facing a difficult situation as the ministry has outgrown their current facility, a rented building that cannot accommodate their growing vision. ServLife has urgently requested design help from eMi to plan the ministry Training Center facilities for all the current uses with capacity to add further scope in the future.

In the glorious heat of an Indian monsoon, eMi 2 is planning a project trip with a team of India office staff, interns and volunteers to travel to Raxaul, Bihar and partner with ServLife India in the planning of the facilities they need to carry out their expansive vision for ministry in North India. Can we do our part to end the standing belief that Bihar is the “graveyard of ministry work"? Our conceptual designs can help the ministry raise funds and bring focus to their vision. Bihar is the most destitute of the states in India, and our project site borders on Nepal, a country shattered by over 10 years of civil war. Please consider joining us as we help bring into reality a vision for giving hope and real life to the people of North India and Nepal.
