NORTH AFRICA
Multiple Church Designs

Late June 2008

Project Scope
Some of the most astounding testimonies are coming out of North Africa where the Lord is working in miraculous ways and opening doors for the Church like never before. Between 1 and 2 million converts from Islam are believed to have come to know Christ and now are forming an immense underground Church. Christian leaders recognize there is a window of opportunity and we must take advantage of it.

Three congregations are in need of facilities. A large Arab Christian ministry working to train leadership for the growing Church and is sponsoring these congregations. Since 1992, this group has focused on 'Spiritual, Social, Legal and Economical Help' and is now assisting these congregations with much needed facilities. In the Middle Eastern context, a church building not only represents a place to congregate and worship the Lord, but also is a core element in the identity of the community of believers. These facilities are to be a house of refuge where unity and community are essential for a persecuted people. The church building also provides a place for education and training.

EMI has been asked to help with the design of these three churches; supporting the greater Church in one of the most historically significant and strategic locations in the Middle East. Would you consider being a part of the work that the Lord is doing in this beautiful land?
