Original Project Scope
Whispering Eagle Ministries (WEM) has been formed by a former full-time missionary to the DRC who is working among the people in area of Moanda, west of Kinshasa and close to the ocean. The ministry heard great reports of how EMI partners with those who serve the poor through our work across Africa and came to us for assistance.
Recently, WEM has been able to secure 25 acres + to develop a new community of family style homes for the purpose of raising orphaned children in a loving, family-style environment. WEM has partnered with a local pastor who has already taken an orphan into his own home and is sharing the vision with other members of his church and community to help orphans.
With this much land, WEM recognizes the importance of master planning the campus well, so that the foundation can be laid for years of successful ministry and development work. While parts of the property will be developed for housing and infrastructure, much of the land is to be left for agricultural development so as to make the family homes relatively self-sufficient through the cultivating of their own crops.
EMI will need a full team of design professionals to tackle this big project. Can you commit to helping yet one more war-weary nation in Africa find hope and healing through loving, caring service?
