Project Profile
Central Asia
Seminary Classroom/Dorm Renovation
EMI Project 5439

September 2007

Original Project Scope
The person we served here has been serving in Central Asia for 10 years, planting churches and discipling church leaders. He has noticed the need for more formal education of some pastors and started a branch campus of Moscow Theological Seminary in his home (which also houses the latest church he has planted and where he is the pastor). The seminary plans to offer one intensive class at a time to a smaller number of students, since most of the students are pastors and working other jobs at the same time.

He has realized that he needs to re-think the space on his property - he wants to fit the church and seminary (a few classrooms and some living space for students and teachers) as well as his home on the property. He has asked EMI to provide the renovation design for him - or, if necessary, advise him to remove some of the existing buildings.

If you are experienced in building renovation and helping owners understand the pros and cons of renovating versus building new, this is the project for you! We are in need of architects and engineers who can think creatively to help serve this great ministry.
